To Be Continued
If history follows the cycle of four generations (a saeculum), approximately every 80 years there is a Zeitgeist (1780, 1868, 1946). 2025 is the next Zeitgeist if history continues the pattern, and the technologies will be revolutionary. But looking at patterns over 500 years is not a good way to make predictions. Even in a 500-year span, Egyptian kingdoms remained pretty much the same. If you look at patterns 5000-10000 years or longer, the patterns are less encouraging in things staying the same. Nothing seems to endure except the iconic symbols and monuments. The digital age has yet to produce any, except perhaps signage for major corporations, including Facebook, but they are hardly megalithic, and are made of plastics and other degradable materials.
