Orange-Colored Glasses
In most feature films, the sets are as comfortable as the environment you are in. They are metaphorical "safe rooms" where everything gets resolved with tropes within about three hours. In the film "The Martian", you can get a flavor of an Apollo 13 disaster (complete with one Challenger disaster) with lots of orange-tinted optimism. I loved the film because I love Mars as much as anyone. After the film I had an idea that someone should make a Mars film like Satantango, and show it in a cold theater with terrible seats.
