Atmospherics
Eclipses are happening all the time. On Jupiter, with four moons large enough to create them, they are hardly a rare event. All light sources cast shadows, which may intersect with other events such solstices and equinoxes of planets everywhere.
Then there is the "reverse occlusion", where shadows are canceled out. There is a certain "romantic" quality about the dark canyons of cities, but reflective surfaces such as heliostats should be used everywhere, especially in winter months. Celestial events are usually ignored (save for the total eclipses) but but they can be used in cunning ways such as the shadowless skyscraper.
