10X!

Technological advancement has also become a routine lately. We have to push ourselves to innovate, we must collaborate--we have to think of faster ways of getting to Mars and other planets. There is a constant push to make things go faster without stopping to think that these technologies have side effects, the consideration of which also becomes a part of the routine.

12/2022:

When Google was losing in the competition for watch time with Facebook video in 2012, they wanted to "make the boat go faster."

Apparently Larry Page wanted things “10x.” (As in, that thing you're working on, why not make it ten times bigger? When Google’s new web browser, Chrome, failed to meet its usage goals, Page called for higher ones. When roboticists making self-driving cars readied vehicles that could handle contained settings like a college campus, Page ordered the vehicles to work on all roads. 10x!")

Another recent example is Neuralink's rushed animal testing resulting in the needless suffering of animals. Musk's intentions are righteous, but it's going at 10X.
