Matrioshkas

To elegantly describe our Internet to an alien first arriving, we'd show it Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirror Rooms, appropriated as the "Infinity Internet Room", or "Matrix Room", or metaphors from cinema, literature, and folklore, such as the Matrioshka.

It was this post on Medium that inspired this post, now another point on the recursive feedback loop. In it, the author demonstrates how one piece of content (blogging about strategies for blogging) was extrapolated into social media. (This is now referred to "botting", or getting algorithms to automatically "like" your posts, for a small fee).

Once artists become inspired by botting, it will be truly interesting. Perhaps it's the same thing  Eno/Fripp (Revox Loops), Escher (tesselations) and Piranesi were doing. Piranesi's Prisons are the most appropriate metaphor because it all seems so carceral in nature.
