The Internet Booth

If the Internet was more constrained to a device or place, as voice communication was to the telephone, how would we then relate to the Internet? In the dial-up days, the Internet was in fact more like making a phone call or sending a fax. The barriers within technology created boundaries or buffer zones, and left more head space for other activities.
