Iran Uprising

Uprising in Iran following defeat of Mousavi in national elections, claiming it's a cooked vote tally. This is happening exactly 30 years since the overthrow of the Shah in 1979. Interesting: social unrest almost in sync with a generational shift: parent and child both have a common cultural history based on national disunity. David Brooks: "1979 marked the beginning of the modern terrorist movement." If he's right, 2009 will mark the beginning of the its horrible end. But perhaps the world is more resilient than we think.
