Consilience With Music
Music can simply be a way of thinking. You don't necessarily have to be performing or composing music; you can learn music in order to think about other things in different ways.
Music isn't the only thing that we can do with music. You can start there and connect it to other things.
Music is a logical nexus because of its metaphorical depth: It easily crosses over with other disciplines--particularly architecture because of form and structure--and both can have a "blueprint".
Music and biology overlap when using a systems or generative approach. Having an interest in either is the access point to both, and consequently they become consilient.

From A Human Algorithm: How Artificial Intelligence is Redefining Who We Are by Flynn Coleman:
Combinatory creativity, or as Einstein called it, "combinatory play", is connecting the dots of different ideas to create something new and revolutionary,...Combinatorial creativity can build bridges within minds, as well as between people, fields, generations, and societies. It’s not simply about raw intellectual ability, but about combining ideas in interesting and surprising ways and reformulating them into new concepts. (61)
