Life is like a software version--it depends on how you get in. The first version that you buy is your experience with the software, but you don't realize what the history is. So if you buy Photoshop for the first time in 2021 you're using all the new bells and whistles that were just released. When the software first came out in the 1980s it was basically a digital dark room. I wonder how many people actually use it for that purpose--just like we don't experience life like we used to because it's an old version. It depends on what version you start with. Same with music: your initial access point will form your experience with it. I was lucky enough to learn that it wasn't how I first saw it.
