Don't Go There
Some people don’t touch Facebook--some don’t touch Twitter--some avoid Instagram. But social media is a place everyone should avoid or protect themselves while in it. It had a meltdown years ago and remains dangerously "radioactive", or at least inimical to creativity and innovation.
On "Access Points":
If you use a technology (the internet) as a primary access point to develop an idea (when in fact another technology would be more effective) you run the risk of getting lost in the maze of intentions, and you lose the essence of the idea.
Social media is an example of an access point for almost every idea anyone is having these days. Yesterday I saw a presentation for an app for financing college tuition. Both the idea and main access point (the smartphone and social media) are too obvious, not to mention ironic.
When you find yourself going through the motions, it means you're at the same door as everyone else, thinking it's the only way to get in and you're in a stampede.
Cunning is hard to come by, but it still exists, but at what cost going through the same access points?
TBC
