Talkin' 'Bout Art Generations

Like software versions, you could have art generations. For example, First Generation pop art would be Andy Warhol in the 1950s and 1960s (Silent Generation); Second Generation pop would be from the Boomer generation, 1960s-1970s; Generation Three would be from the Gen-X and perhaps Millennial generations, and so on. This would work for dada, neo-dada, and ab-ex as well. "Neo" and "post" could still be used for finer distinctions set by individual artists that inspire younger generations, e.g. "neo-Warhol".
