David Icke's thoughts on Prince: I never realized that Prince performances (at least the later ones) were more 'serialized' with longer sections as opposed to a bunch of songs. Prince was conceptual in this way, yet unlike the older form of a pop conceptual work, like Tommy or The Wall.

Either the serial approach to TV had influenced Prince, or perhaps were moving towards 'binge' listening and binge performances, like the Ring Cycle.
