How History Might Look to Someone that Just Looked At It

If someone just did a Google search "Clinton Lewinsky" what would they first learn, and how might that infect their understanding or deeper interest of events happening in previous generations?

What is the first impression on a young student that just learned about 9/11? When I first learned of Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima, the interest perhaps lasted for the duration of the class.

History sometimes just rolls off and at some point it sinks in.
