Image Lakes
On the data/lake metaphor:
If you've had a digital camera from its inception, you have a quite large image pool. The Internet has deep lakes and oceans of images. But if you place a ship in the lake, the water doesn't rise, and you can float across it or navigate it in some way. That's what curation is--in images or the so-called "data lakes".
