Inventors and Progenitors

An artist can be influenced by art or music history, even without being aware of it. A composer might sound like there's an influence of John Cage, yet they might not know of him. This might explain how 2 nearly identical works are created independently. We'll all eventually have the same thoughts and ideas, but whoever acts on them first will seem to be the inventor or progenitor.
